So....more bad news

Well, I have already posted a new blog today but things change quickly in this crazy world we live in. There are now 2 things I am certain of.
1: NEVER procrastinate.
2. NEVER count on something too much.

I hired an attorney to take over my medical claim with the school district. Everything is going well, I picked up the MRI disc, the radiologist's report and diagnosis, research all I can on this new "arthritis" in my back, just to find out their is nothing my attorney can do for me. Simply put, you have 180 days to file a Tort Claim (to sue) a Government agency. End of story. This is I guess public record and I had never heard nor needed to know anything about a law suit before in my 29 yrs. My attorney was going to sue the School District for negligence of the school bus driver. However, 180 days was up for me Sept. 3rd. And today is Sept. 22. So the advice was from my attorney "sorry, bad luck for you. Let this be a learning lesson for you". Isn't that just lovely I thought to myself.

Point being, never procrastinate or it could cost you dearly and secondly, never count your chicks before they hatch.

Not looking forward to winter

Well it has been awhile since I have posted anything new so here goes. Once I sit down to write something my mind goes blank and I have realized I am terrible at writing!

The past couple months have been very busy. Lauren starts another year of pre-school tomorrow and is excited beyond belief! This will be her last year of pre-school then on to Kinder garden next year. She turns 5 in January so she missed the cut off this year which is unfortunate because she is very ready to start real school!

Summer is coming to an end and I am dreading winter. Last winter was not a good one for us and I shudder to think of more snow shoveling! Last winter around Dec. 15th or so, Chris was busy outside shoveling the driveway and back deck and over worked himself without eating. I saw him shoveling the deck after being outside for about 45 min. and he was leaning over his shovel. When I opened the back door I asked "what are you doing?" and he responded by saying he felt like he was going to pass out. I told him to take a break and his response was "I'm almost done" I turned around and shut the door and sat at the kitchen table watching him. It only took about 20 seconds of him shoveling and I saw his arms fly up into fists and down he went. He fell backwards and hit his head on the deck and went into a seizer.Frantically I called 911, ambulance came, took him away all while our children were watching. This is all old news now but this is why I am NOT looking forward to more snow!

In other news, I was involved in a car accident March of this year. I dropped our daughter off at school and our son and I were headed home. I stopped at a cross walk to let an insurance agent cross the road when all of the sudden, his eyes were huge and I saw him waving frantically for me to go! I looked up, hit the gas, but a school bus of all things smashed right into the back of our car. Initially I thought nothing was wrong with myself and our son thankfully was ok. It has been 7 months now, and the pain in my back and shoulder has gotten so severe I have recently went in and had an MRI. So....the results are in. It looks as though it cracked 2 of my vertebra around the T11 and T12 spinal area and arthritis has set in pretty rapidly. The pain most days is unbearable and I have been told by my physician that there really is nothing that can be done about it and it will continue to worsen over time. So I have hired an attorney and now I finally feel as though someone else is fighting the insurance company instead of myself. Other than that, things here are pretty good. We are still looking to sell our house that we bought over a year ago as a "flip" but the market is so terrible right now it looks as though we will be living here another winter.

HAPPY FALL!
