January and February are busy months for us when it comes to Birthdays! We celebrated my 30Th Birthday on Jan. 5Th and on Jan 23rd Chris turned 34. Jan. 28Th Lauren turned the BIG 5 and on Feb. 3rd Chandler turned a whopping 3 already! So needless to say, we are Birthday caked out.

Chris was like the rest of us that are getting older, he wanted to have a quite day with no fuss. So we just made a little! My Mom came over and ate birthday cake which was cheese cake! It was delicious. The kids helped him blow out the candles and he opened a few presents. He got a Gonzaga zip hoodie from my parents that he wears ( a lot) and a new pocket tool that every MAN must have! It turned out to be a quite Birthday just like he wanted :)
Next came Lauren's big day. She turned 5! She knew exactly what kind of cake she had to have, what presents she was hoping for, and what color balloons she wanted. Her request was for a Princess Cake. I called a lady in town that has made several cakes for us through the years. I told her what we wanted and it turned out beautiful. The Princess in the middle lit up so when the lights were out she glowed. The smile on her face was worth the effort.
We had a couple of Lauren's good friends come over for the party and they all had balloon fights and ran through the house like a bunch of crazy chickens. It was so fun to watch her and realize how fast she is growing. They all had cake and helped open presents. She got a new pair of Sketcher shoes, a new coat, a barbie, and a new movie she wanted among other things. It was a great day and sad in a way. 5 years ago I wouldn't have had a CLUE what to do with a 5 year old and here she is now almost in Kinder-garden.

On Feb. 3rd Chandler turned 3. He is at a really fun age right now and is growing so fast we are constantly buying him new clothes. So for his birthday Grandma and Grandpa bought him some new clothes, Aunt Lora bought him a remote control 4-wheeler that makes fun sounds and crashes into everything, and we bought Elmo 2008. I had never heard of it however when he was at the store that was the only thing he played with the entire time. Elmo plays games, sings, tells stories on and on. He does something new every time we hear the darn thing turn on! We had family over, ate cake, and let the Birthday boy enjoy his day.Another year of Birthday's for our family has come and gone for this year and I'm the first to put my feet up and thank the Lord its over.
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got to enjoy
the spirit of the season with your loved ones.

This year was a quite year in terms of family. It was unfourtunate Nicole nor my brother Chris were able to make it to St. Maries. Every year my sister has been able to make it home come hell or high water but this year was different. Chris spent time with his girls Mikayla and Hanna and had a wonderful time with them. Nicole was home trying to keep herself busy. My parents didn't make it to our house Christmas morning either because the roads were the pits and I had to be to work by 2 P.M Other than that, our children had a wonderful time opening their presents left by Santa and were excited to see he had eaten all their cookies, drank his milk and gave the reindeer their apples we left.

Christmas Eve was busy spent at the Hospital ER. Lauren was awake coughing, coughing, coughing. I had done everything I could and it was only getting worse. She couldn't talk without coughing. Chris took her to the ER and the Dr. said she had a bad ear infection. So they got home around 10:30 and we thought "good, now we can lay out the presents from Santa" WRONG. Chandler woke up and said his ear hurt. He has been coughing for about 2 months now but no other symptoms. I thought maybe he had an ear infection so I loading him up in the car knowing I had to work Christmas Day and wouldn't have time to take him to the Dr. Christmas morning. So we arrived in the ER 30 min. later with our son. They couldn't find any reason for him to be coughing for 2 months. The only thing they could come up with was that we needed a humidifier in the house running all the time. ?? That's a typical St. Maries Hospital for ya. We got home around midnight and by the time he finally fell asleep it was around 2 A.M Christmas morning. I crawled into bed and 2 min. later I heared people outside SCREAMING. I got up, looked out the window and saw I big brawl going on in the middle of the street with 8-10 people involved. Girls were screaming, men were fighting, people were taking off in their cars.....on and on. I called 911 to have them send a cop out to break up the fight before the whole neighborhood was awake and continued to watch the fight going on for another 15 min. Needless to say, I was up until 3:00 A.M and never saw a police officer come by.

I hope everyone has a very safe and happy New Year.
Try hard to reach your New Year resolutions and if you fail......
Well hell, there is always next year!!! Happy Holiday's to you all.
